‘Inspire’ – The Tour
Young people face unprecedented challenges in their future working lives. Globalisation, technology and shifts in the economy have transformed the world in which they operate.
Our programme works with teachers, business and the wider community to transform young people’s educational experience for all young people, from as soon as they start school by integrating enterprising and entrepreneurial learning into the curriculum and school life.
We aim to create a culture of enterprise in education and transform young people’s skills, aspirations and mindset so they can meet the challenges and opportunities of life in the 21st century.
We have achieved much in this area and have a proven track record of success. Rotherham Ready, our original and flagship programme, has been internationally acclaimed and the town was crowned ‘The Most Enterprising Place in Britain’ in 2010.
We work nationally and have launched ‘Ready’ programmes in other areas and have worked with schools across the country.
Now we are taking our training on tour – giving school leaders and teachers the opportunity to explore and develop enterprise as part of school life and the curriculum.
Our training has been praised by Ofsted. Inspectors highlighted how we:
- Inspire teachers and Head teachers about enterprise
- Get them to view enterprise as integral to improving teaching and learning and raising achievement
- Support the development of outstanding practice – leading to learners that are ‘confident and enthused’
And here’s what some delegates say:
“Everything we do in school, the new curriculum, the focus on enterprise and pupils’ taking the lead, is as a result of the Inspire training.” Primary Head Teacher.
“Since we have been developing enterprise, school quite literally buzzes with excitement. The children are learning new skills, and they have a curriculum that is constantly moving and challenges them. I have no doubt that this is improving their learning and helping them get ready for the next stage of their education and their adult lives.” Primary Head Teacher.
The ‘Are You Ready?’ team will visit several cities across the UK with the aim of engaging more teachers and Head Teachers to develop enterprising learning for the 21st century.
